Bog of Eternal Stench - Final?

Yep, well at least that's all the swampy real estate I have time for ATM.

Another standing stone piece for the bog, ready to, er, stand there and block lines of sight (and arrows, bolts, shot etc) and generally frustrate your shooty opponents with its tall solidarity.

 Just lean back and relax.

I like to think that some irate giant swamp dweller threw this into the bog in a fit of rage...
Of course it could just be something that used to be vertical and is now a bit wonky...

Generally I cant stand terrain with poor posture.

Working on a large project for a friend right now, which I am pleased to say is nearing completion!
Lots more to come soon - will be starting the 3 Focke Wulf kits this weekend which should be a blast =) Whats more, the hobby store had a sale on Airfix products and I was able to pick up some RAF and Luftwaffe crew and ground personnel cheap! (It needs to be cheap for me, retail price = not going to happen...)

So, yes.

  1. That's yet another cool looking terrain piece. I've always shied away from terrain work which is why most of my pieces are always lacking that final touch. My bases always look very boring.

    1. Thank you =)

You should really give basing a go. It's not as difficult as it looks and really adds to the atmosphere of a game or gives the impression of the environment a miniature/model is in.

If you are interested I could send you a few links to people who do a far better job of it than me! I'm sure someones way of doing things will suit your technique/time allowance =)

    2. Thanks Ace ... much appreciated. Any links to other blogs who work a lot on bases would definitely be great. If privacy is not an issue, just post the links in the comments and I will be sure to check it out. :)

Lots of differing approaches to basing there! Also, scale model diorama guys are excellent for realism - and anything done by the sadly missed Rackham games company was top work. Try googling Confrontation or Ragnarok' and see what I mean!
